SAN ELIZARIO, TEXAS – Since December of 2017, the Support Services Operation Center in the San Elizario Independent School District (SEISD) has opened its doors to host the annual Christmas Toy and Food Giveaway to benefit the community. Every year since, except for 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, support services personnel have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to serve, be part and logistically coordinate some aspects of this beautiful event.
It is with great joy that the SEISD once again had the privilege to host this event this December. The annual Toy and Food Giveaway is, on average, prepared to provide approximately 2,000 families with food baskets and toys. This year, the event was scheduled for Saturday, December 11, 2021, starting at 9:00 A.M. at the Support Services Operation Service Center located at 200 North Herring Road in San Elizario, TX.
Event volunteers of 400 hundred handed out 1,100 food boxes and 2,600 toys for children ages 0-10 years of age.
The Annual Christmas Toy and Food Giveaway was a first-come, first-serve function. Jesus Martinez, the Director of Support Services, states, "It is not only exciting but also very encouraging to see the community once again have the opportunity to benefit from this event. I am looking forward to seeing all the smiles on the children's faces." Pastor Neiman stated, “This is a beautiful partnership to serve and bring joy to the season for the Community of San Elizario.”
Abundante Distribución Anual de Juguetes y Comida de Navidad en San Elizario
SAN ELIZARIO, TEXAS - Desde diciembre de 2017, el Centro de Operaciones de Servicios de Apoyo en el Distrito Escolar Independiente de San Elizario (SEISD) ha abierto sus puertas para albergar la distribución anual de juguetes y alimentos de Navidad en beneficio de la comunidad. Todos los años con la excepción del año 2020, debido a la pandemia de COVID-19, el personal de servicios de apoyo ha disfrutado enormemente de la oportunidad de servir, ser parte y coordinar logísticamente algunos aspectos de este hermoso evento.
Es con gran alegría que el SEISD una vez más tuvo el privilegio de ser anfitrión de este evento este diciembre. La distribución anual de juguetes y alimentos se prepara, en promedio, para proporcionar a aproximadamente 2,000 familias canastas de alimentos y juguetes. Este año, el evento se programó para el sábado 11 de diciembre de 2021, a partir de las 9:00 a.m. en el Centro de Servicios de Operación de Servicios de Apoyo ubicado en 200 North Herring Road en San Elizario, TX. Con la ayuda de 400 voluntarios, distribuyo 1,100 cajas de comida y 2,600 juguetes para niños de 0 a 10 años.
Los voluntarios del evento estuvieron listos para repartir 1,500 cajas de comida y 6,000 juguetes para niños de edad 0 a 10 años. La distribución Anual de Juguetes y Alimentos de Navidad es una función donde la repartición fue por orden de llegada. Jesús Martínez, Director de Servicios de Apoyo, declara: "No solo es emocionante, sino también muy alentador ver a la comunidad una vez más tener la oportunidad de beneficiarse de este evento. Espero ver todas las sonrisas en los rostros de los niños." Es Pastor Neiman dijo, “Esta es una hermosa colaboración para servir y traer alegría a la temporada para la Comunidad de San Elizario”.
