SAN ELIZARIO, TEXAS – The San Elizario Independent School District (SEISD) has awesome employees who every year decide to continue to serve the children of San Elizario. In SEISD employees such as bus drivers, to cafeteria workers, maintenance to attendance personnel, and professional staff, there is a sustained wealth of experience in every area serving with pride. The service of SEISD employees adds value and enriches the learning environment of San Elizario students. "San Elizario ISD is a great place to work at! We love recognizing and rewarding employees for their great work and service" added Blanca I. Cruz, Director of Human Resources.
With the assistance of the Human Resources Department, SEISD recognizes employees for their years of service through the District Convocation or at a regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting. This year, the Human Resources Department has had to find new ways to continue recognizing employees in a virtual environment. During the regular board meeting held on September 9, 2020, the Board of Trustees virtually recognized employees who completed their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th year of service in San Elizario ISD. A total of 91 employees were recognized. Twenty-nine employees have completed their 5th-year milestone while 33 employees have completed 20 years or more. Earlier in the year during the district's convocation, an additional 79 employees who will also complete these same milestones after the 2021 school year were also recognized. Combined, SEISD is blessed to have approximately 2,250 years of experience among the recognized colleagues. "Employees need to know that we are here for them during a time where we are physically apart; technology has allowed us to maintain the human connection alive" added Cruz. All employees will receive a medal as a token of appreciation from the SEISD.
