Let us know the ONE teacher who has had the most impact on you and why?
“Throughout my San Elizario ISD journey, I have had many teachers who inspired me to be the person that I am today. However, nobody believed in me like Ms. Araceli Vargas did when I was in middle school. In seventh grade, I had barely arrived to the United States; still she believed in me and helped me to gain confidence. She helped me with work from other classes and she also taught me English. By the second year of being an English as a Second Language student with her, I was already reading, understating, and speaking English.”
Who is the ONE Coach who has influenced you the most and what is the lesson you learned from that person?
“The coach that has influenced me the most is Coach Sappenfield. He has taught me many lessons throughout my high school years. I can name several but the advice that stuck to my brain was when he said, “the bravest will apologize; the strongest will forgive; and the happiest will forget." This has helped me through many difficult situations. I am thankful that he gave me something so important that I can use for the rest if my life.”
