SAN ELIZARIO, TX – The San Elizario Independent School District (SEISD) Board of Trustees honored Teachers, Employees & Support Services Employee of the Year nominees. This year’s theme is Commitment Valor y Corazón.

Lorenzo G. Loya Primary School Nominees: Aida Russell - Campus Support EOY; Christina Lara - Teacher of the Year; and Myrna Quinones - Professional EOY

Lorenzo G. Alarcon Elementary School Nominees: Janet Natividad – Campus Support EOY; and Christina Lara – Teacher of the Year

Alfonso Borrego Sr. Elementary School Nominees: Miriam Padilla – Campus EOY; and Sarah Guillen – Teacher of the Year

Josefa L. Sambrano Elementary School Nominees: Nanette Raulston – Teacher of the Year; Priscilla Santiesteban – Rookie Teacher of the Year; Cesar Duran – Professional EOY; and Anahi Galvan – Campus Support EOY

Ann M. Garcia-Enriquez Middle School Nominees: Julieta Vitela – Teacher of the Year; Roman Rodriguez – Rookie Teacher of Year; Idania Rodarte – Professional EOY; and Blanca Estrada – Campus Support EOY

San Elizario High School Nominees: Cynthia Villareal – Teacher of the Year; Carolina Balderas – Rookie Teacher of the Year; Nancy Jacquez – Professional EOY; and Jocelyn Galvan – Campus Support EOY

Support Services EOY Nominees: Lorenzo Raygoza – Warehouse; Sonia Renteria – Maintenance; Florentino Lugo – Security; Silvia Vasquez-Hernandez – Custodian; and Rosalinda Tellez- Bus Driver.

All nominees were interviewed on December 14, 2023, and will proceed to participate in a series of events such as a photo shoot, a breakfast and lunch, and a video recording. Ms. Blanca Cruz, the Executive Director of Human Resources, states, “This year's nominees embody the values that make San Elizario ISD a great workplace. We are looking forward to celebrating their accomplishments.”

The Human Resources Department hosts the event, which comprises seven individuals: Fanny Gallardo, Elizabeth Guerrero, Stephanie Ruiz, Gina Shutt, Claudia Gutierrez, and Robert Gallegos.

The annual celebration of teachers and employees of the year will be celebrated with a dinner and dance on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Monte Carlo Hall.
