San Elizario Spirit Soaring in San Eli

Mr. Jose Maese - Sambrano Elementary School Head Custodian

SAN ELIZARIO, TEXAS – The San Elizario San Elizario Independent School District (SEISD) distributed long-sleeve tees to approximately five hundred eighty employees courtesy of the annual employee appreciation resolution approved by the Board of Trustees.

Members of the SEISD Cabinet distributed the traditional royal blue shirts showcasing the golden eagle with the hashtag #SEISDPeoplePassionPurpose, and the right sleeve carries the 79849-zip code, representing San Eli.

Employees received their new spirit shirts with a note of thanks from Dr. Jeannie Meza-Chavez, the superintendent, who stated, “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, thank you for all you do! Because of you, our students have the opportunity to excel in numerous academic and extracurricular activities. Everything you do is done with a special intent, and our students are the benefactors. We appreciate you.”

Employees like Jose Maese, the Head Custodian of Josefa L. Sambrano Elementary School, stated, “Para mi persona es algo muy grande. Muchas gracias por el equipo que tenemos en el distrito, y les comento que el mismo día que recibí la camiseta me la puse.” Translated, Maese stated, “For me, it is something very big. Thank you very much for the team we have in the district, and I tell you that the same day I received the shirt I put it on.” Mr. Maese has been an employee with the SEISD for more than fifteen years.

All SEISD employees are encouraged to wear their new tees on Fridays with jeans to promote school spirit.
