  • How do I apply for a position at San Elizario ISD?
  • Please fill out an online application by clicking on the following link: APPLY HERE

1. All applicants must have a personal email address (ex. Yahoo, Gmail, AOL).

2. All applicants are required to submit an application to be considered for any position with San Elizario ISD.

*If certified teacher applicant, please attach the required documentation:

Current resume, valid driver's license, college transcripts, and certification.

*If non-certified teacher applicant, please attach the required documentation:

Current resume, valid driver's license, college transcripts, and alternative certification program acceptance letter. Applicant must be immediately eligible for a Texas probationary certificate.

*If out-of-state teacher applicant, please attach the required documentation:

Current resume, valid driver's license, college transcripts, out-of-state certification, and Texas one-year certificate (if available). Applicant must obtain a Texas certificate before being considered for position by completing an application request and pay all associated fees for review of credentials to obtain a 1-year certificate. Must obtain a national background fingerprint check through the Texas Education Agency by visiting www.tea.state.tx.us website.

*All other applicants (non-certified), please attach the required documentation:

  • How do I obtain an educational aide certificate?
     
  • You must first be employed by SEISD before being eligible to apply for an Educational Aide Certificate. All educational aides who do not have an State Board Educator Certification (SBEC) issued paraprofessional certificate must obtain certification by visiting the Texas Education Agency website.

Under Texas Administrative Code, Title 19, Chapter 230, Subchapter S, Rule 230.551 states, "Each person employed in Texas public schools as an educational aide must be certified according to requirements established by SBEC.

  • I have already registered to apply online, but I do not remember my user ID and/or password.  What should I do?
     
  • You can retrieve your login information by providing your last four (4) digits of SSN, date of birth, and last name under the online application: If you do not remember your user ID and password section. The username and password are both case-sensitive. Please contact the Application Specialist at (915) 872-3900 or email HRapplicant@seisd.net for further assistance.
     
  • I'm having trouble uploading attachments to the online application, what should I do?

  • You may submit your attachments by email to HRapplicant@seisd.net, fax document(s) to (915) 872-3901, or drop off document(s) at our Administration Offices located at 1050 Chicken Ranch Road, San Elizario, TX 79849. If you continue experiencing problems, please contact Application Specialist at (915) 872-3900 for further assistance.
     
  • Do I need to mail in official/unofficial transcripts for the application process?
     
  • No, during the application process you must attach an unofficial or official copy of your transcripts. If you are offered and accept a position, an official hard copy of your transcripts will be required.
     
  • Do I have to be certified to teach?
  • Yes, San Elizario ISD requires that all teaching applicants have a valid Texas Teacher Certificate.
  • What alternative certification programs does SEISD accept?

     
  • The program must be on the list of SBEC APPROVED EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAMS located at www.sbec.state.tx.us/SBECOnline/edprep/region.asp.
     
  • What are the qualifications to become a Guest Teacher?
    ​​​​​​​
  • Minimum requirement is 30 credit hours and or Guest Teacher Certificate through SEISD acceptable vendor. Your daily pay changes as you qualify for them (ex: $60.00 daily rate for Non-Degree/High School Diploma with Guest Teacher Certificate, $65.00 daily rate for applicants with an 30+ credit hours, $70.00 daily rate for applicants with an Associates Degree etc.). Generally, we only hire once per year for our Guest Teacher pool, usually in the summer months. Certified Teachers however, are hired year round on an "as-needed" basis.
     
  • If I am a Guest Teacher, may I submit an employee transfer request to apply for another position?

  • No, all Guest Teachers must re-apply and create a new user login for the vacancy they wish to be considered for.
     
  • How or When are interviews scheduled?
    ​​​​​​​
  • Interviews are conducted at the campus or department level and are initiated by the campus/department administrator after the closing date of job posting and/or at any given time as needed.

  • How do I get a replacement badge?
  • Visit the Human Resources Department. A fee of $10.00 will be charged for lost badges, faded or non-swiping badges are replaced at no charge.
     
  • How do I access my SEISD email?

  • Go to www.seisd.net website, under Quick Links, click on Office 365 login to access email.
     
  • What is the Employee Service Center, and how do I access it?
    ​​​​​​​
  • The Employee Service Center is a portal for employees that allows easy access to payroll, leave balances, timeclock, and other information. The portal may be accessed through www.seisd.net website.
     
  • How do I find my duty and salary schedule?
    ​​​​​​​
  • Go to the www.seisd.net website, under department, Human Resources, click on Pay & Duty Day Schedule for more information.
     
  • How can I view SEISD's employee policies?
    ​​​​​​​
  • An employee handbook is accessible through your Employee Service Center portal.
     
  • Who should I contact with payroll questions and where can I see the current payroll schedule?
    ​​​​​​​
  • Visit the SEISD website, under Finance Department. Payroll schedule is available online at Finance, Payroll Calendars.
     
  • Where do I find my leave balance?
    ​​​​​​​
  • Current leave information is available through the Employee Service Center portal.
     
  • If I am absent, where do I report my absence?
    ​​​​​​​
  • Report absences by accessing the Employee Service Center portal.
