The San Elizario Independent School District (SEISD) Communications Department earned honors, including a Best in Category for its work in communications from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA).

The Original San Elizario High School campus was built in 1972, and was located next to Garcia Enriquez Middle School. The new, state of the art San Elizario High School and Vocational Facilities were built in 1997 and house students grades 9 through 12.
