The Department of Research & Development provides support and guidance to campuses and departments in assuring proper program implementation and maintains compliance in the use of Federal and State entitlement funds. It is our goal to maximize the use of federal funds, reauthorized under the No Child Left Behind Act, to eliminate the gap of our low-income children and support the District in reaching its goals.

In essence, the Research & Development Department is a central source to coordinate stakeholder collaboration in grant activities across the District: campus and central office staff, community partners and intra-District departments. Our department emphasizes providing assistance in obtaining external funding for educational programs which prepare students for academic achievement and graduation. An additional priority is to encourage and enhance opportunities for faculty and staff to implement research based and proven educational programs aligned to District priorities and initiatives.
