JOB APPLICATION PROCEDURES

• An incomplete application will not be accepted
The following information must be provided before an application is processed and considered for any vacancy for which you are applying:
1. All information requested in the application must be provided, including "N/A" for areas that do not apply.
2. Employees interested in a job vacancy must submit a completed new application unless application was submitted within the past six months.
3. A criminal record check is required from all applicants. A Criminal History Record Check Authorization form must be filled out authorizing the district to obtain any criminal history information. If a criminal history record response is obtained, applicant will be requested to provide district a disposition letter from the District Clerk and County Clerk for review and approval for employment consideration.
4. References regarding your past employment or training are required. Always include your immediate supervisor(s) at your previous employment. No relatives should be included. List four (4) references with complete mailing addresses.
5. The applicant must meet all the qualifications for the selected position. This includes required High School Diploma, licenses, or certificates if applicable.
6. The applicant must submit copies of unofficial transcripts, certificates, and High School Diploma or GED, if a requirement for the selected position.
7. The application must be signed and dated by the applicant. You may mail, fax or deliver the application in person, to San Elizario I.S.D. Administration Office on or before the deadline if applicable.
8. If application is delivered in person, receptionist in Human Resources Department will make a copy of applicant's driver's license, social security card and/or birth certificate. If application is mailed you must include a copy of two identifications, such as driver's license, social security card, birth certificate, etc.
9. Once applications are reviewed and interviews are held, committee submits recommendations to Human Resources Department for review and approval.
10. The offer of employment will be made from the Human Resources Department after recommendation submitted from committee and approval from Director of Human Resources, Superintendent, and the Board of Trustees.
11. Applicants interviewed and not selected are notified by a selection committee member and also sent a letter by Human Resources Staff. Applicants not selected for an interview will also be sent a letter to let them know committee has submitted a recommendation.
12. If you see other vacancies, you believe you are qualified and for which you would like to be considered, please fill out a Letter of Interest Form at the Administration Office. If more than six months have passed since the application was submitted a new application must be re-submitted.
